Needle Scale Workshop Recording
Couldn’t make it to the Mar 7 Needle Scale workshop? Lucky you can still get a copy of the recording!
Who this workshop recording is for:
This 90-minute workshop is intended for intermediate-level students with split-y and backbend-y aspirations wanting to learn how to tackle a Needle Scale.
Because needle scales are so leg and back flexibility intensive, it is recommended that students be 4 inches or closer to the floor in a front split and able to comfortably hold a bridge pose to get the most out of this recording.
What you’ll learn:
Active flexibility drills for front splits, both on the floor and standing, to increase leg flexibility (and strength!)
Balance exercises to strengthen ankles for a strong, supported base
Shoulder and back conditioning and stretching for full-back flexibility, with an extra focus on our shoulders to work on various leg grab variations
Several variations of dancer’s pose and needle scales so you can work your needles multiple ways!
A full 90-minute back & leg stretching routine you can follow-along to keep working on your needle scale progress
Recommended props:
Strap (yoga strap, TheraBand, scarf, or even a pair of leggings can work as a strap)
Yoga blocks (or something you can use to prop up your hands/legs like a foam roller or small stack of books)
A chair you can move and comfortably lean on (folding chair, dining room chair, etc.)
Some wall space for some of the stretching exercises
Note: Because of Squarespace’s file size limitations (which is what I use for this wonderful website!), upon purchase you will receive a PDF with a link to the recording. You can either stream the recording online, or download to your phone or PC for a higher-quality viewing experience.
