Contortion Bridges Workshop Bundle (2 Recordings)

$50.00

What’s included:

Two 75+ minute follow-along workshops including warm ups, mobility work, and active flexibility drills to help work towards different variations of contortion-style backbends.

Both of these follow-along routines were filmed for a 75-minute practice, but include more than 90 minutes of instructional content for you to tailor your own training!

Who is a good fit for these workshops?

These workshops are good for “intermediate” (and beyond) students who have a bit of shoulder flexibility and control already. A suggested prerequisite for the first workshop is being able to comfortably hold a bridge with straight arms.

The Beginning Contortion Bridges workshop focuses on continuing to improve and strengthen shoulder (and back) flexibility, with a goal of teaching students how to deepen their bridge and work on classic contortion bridge variations with different leg and hip positions (like rainbow bridges, chair sit bridges, and alien bridges). Once students have deepened their shoulder and back flexibility even further (can hold a bridge with straight arms and shoulders over fingers), they can start working on some of the exercises like flipping their grip, various leg/ankle grabs, shoulder-y bridge transitions, and narrow bridge variations in the Continuing Contortion workshop.

Recommended props:

  • A chair (or a bench or low table)

  • 2 yoga blocks

  • A long strap

  • Plenty of wall space!

Note: Because of Squarespace’s file size limitations (which is what I use for this wonderful website!), upon purchase you will receive a PDF with a link to the two recordings. You can then stream the recordings online from the private link.
